September 2021 Prayers & Praises

Here are the most recent things we are praising God for having done and the prayers that we are lifting up to God, trusting Him who is always faithful. Thank you for joining us in prayer as we serve the Lord in the southwestern mountains of Honduras.

Please pray for a significant fundraising campaign that we will be launching in October. God has positioned us for growth but it will take financial resources to make it happen. We know that He owns the cattle on a thousand hills so we trust Him to provide for the needs of our ministry in a big way.

We are praising God for months of health for everyone at La Casa De Rubén. We have not completely escaped the effects of the pandemic but when affected it has been very minor. During this time our patient guests have continued to get stronger and gain more mobility and independence.

Please continue to pray for Yovin Eugenio, a now 10 month old boy, who has been receiving treatment through our ministry. The MRI confirmed that he suffered severe nerve damage during his delivery which paralyzed his right arm. But we are praising God because after just a few months of physical therapy he has already exceeded expectations by raising his arm at the shoulder and extending his hand and fingers for short periods of time. Please pray for God to continue to rewire the nerves so that he will gain full use.

We are praising God for Bayron’s successful surgery on his legs. The casts were recently removed and the results are far better than the surgeon ever imagined. Bayron, without starting therapy, is already bending his knees and moving his feet a little. Please pray for God to continue to restore this boy’s legs and feet so that he can walk again. Please go to our blog at www.fhdhonduras.org to read more about Bayron if you don’t know his story.

We are praising God for the completion of the addition of two bedrooms and a bathroom at La Casa De Rubén (LCDR). This has been a dream and project of ours since we opened LCDR over 2 years ago. Please pray for the 6 children and 1 adult with physical disabilities who are now on our waiting list. Please pray for the Lord to provide the resources that we need to begin helping these children through the ministry of La Casa De Rubén.

In addition to the physical healing taking place we are praising God for the emotional and spiritual healing work He is doing there as we recently baptized three new believers at La Casa De Rubén.

We are also praising God for the completion of 11 new homes in Montaña Verde replacing homes that were lost due to mudslides resulting from the hurricanes that hit Honduras late last year.

Please pray for the continued spiritual growth and development of everyone at La Casa De Rubén. Please continue to pray for Marlen and her studies. She will be graduating 9th grade later this year and is doing very well.

Please pray for God to provide scholarship funds for 4 new college students we’ve added to our scholarship program this year.

We are praising God for the two short term mission teams who came to serve with us in July and September. These are the first teams to return since the lockdown/Covid crisis began in March 2020. They blessed us and our ministry tremendously and we are so grateful that they came.

Please pray for Jean and me while we are in the U.S. Pray for our time to be effective and for us to be able to handle the pressures of life and a growing ministry.

Please pray for Pastor Emilio, his family, and Ministerio Torre Fuerte here in La Campa. Please pray for peace, protection, wisdom, and continued spiritual growth and impact in the churches and communities represented by this ministry.

Please pray for Pastor Jorge, his family, and his ministry in Caiquin, Coalaca and Mataras de Caiquin. Please pray for peace, protection, wisdom, and continued spiritual growth and impact in the churches and communities represented by this ministry.
